: concept

The courses include the accumulated knowledge and practical experience of a cooperation between dentistry, dental technology and osteopathy that has existed since 1999, as well as more than 10 years of lecturing activity (2004) on the subject - functional TMJ complaints - for physiotherapists, dentists, orthodontists.

The aim of the course is the ability to recognize and diagnose a CMD, the interpretation of the findings, the transfer of relevant information to the dentist, orthodontist, as well as the control and assessment of dentures and splints from a functional point of view, and of course the question the establishment of treatment / therapeutic support and interdisciplinary cooperation.

In addition to the theoretical consideration of the functional disorder of the temporomandibular joints from a current medical and scientific perspective, the courses include the perspective from this point of view on osteopathy:

the functional relationships between the stomatognathic and somatic systems (descending and ascending functional chains) and the visceral, fascial and cranial influences on the temporomandibular joint in theory and practice
Sound assessment of occlusal events from a dental and osteopathic point of view in theory and practice
Splint types, splint care from the perspective of dentistry, dental technology and functional osteopathic perspective
